Cactus Jack Designs History
Cactus Jack Designs started as a lifestyle.... Begining with hunting and fishing trips across Texas and Mexico. One of my oldest friends, Jerrett Lamb and myself would load up with somewhat of a destination in mind; and cruise - There was this magnetism to the South that drew us in... time and time again.  The culture, the towns, the foods and the natural beauty.  We were hooked!!!

The year always began in Acuna Mexico. New Year's at Macrosby's Bar where cowboys from everywhere converged for 3 or 4 days to tell old stories and renew friendships.  You'd find the biggest spanklers in the world and those famous Mexican hotdogs.

Spring would break and my brother Charles and I would be knee deep in Gin colored water pluggin for Speckled Trout up and down the coast.

Then there was "Cinco de Mayo" which really means "One helluva party" in Gringo terms. The hot Texas summers would be spent on palm covered beaches or on some remote lakeshore.

Fall approached and out came our camo gear. Dove hunts and preparing deer camps occupied most weekends. Then it all wrapped up with Christmas in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. A little shopping and of course days on end at the ranch rattling for hours for that elusive "Muy grande" buck.

All of these trips brought us to the many taquerias and cantinas we would frequent. Camp cooks working over a hot bed of coals in the brush country. It all became a part of what we are - our senses...

The smell of mesquite wood burning...
The sounds of laughter and local mariachis...
The site of one more sunset...
The taste of one more Margarita...
And most important, the feel of the wind in your face. That's life in Texas.

Cactus Jack wants to put these feelings into your project. You go into your backyard and it is your private Oasis. A place to entertain your family, friends and clients. Let us create for you "A lil bit of Texas".

"Remember - Your imagination is our only limitation"
